Produced in E. coli . The extracellular domain of human CD40L (CD154) (aa 116-261) is fused at the N-terminus to a linker peptide (6 aa) and a FLAG ® -tag.

Notes
CD40L (Prod. No. ALX-522-015) and Enhancer for Ligands (Prod. No. ALX-804-034) should be incubated together for 30 min. at room temperature prior to cell application. Effects are typically best seen with 0.5-10μg/ml of CD40L together with 1-2μg/ml of enhancer. This may vary by cell type and experimental conditions. FLAG is a registered trademark of Sigma-Aldrich Co.

CD40L: Lyophilized. Contains PBS. Enhancer: Liquid. In PBS, pH 7.4, containing 50% glycerol. The formulation contains no antimicrobial preservatives.
Applications Notes
Can be used to activate human B cells and dendritic cells. Stimulates growth of human B cells. For stimulation of mouse cells via CD40 use MAb to CD40 (mouse) (FGK45) (Prod. No. ALX-805-046) .
