3-Hydroxyacetophenone (m-Hydroxyacetophenone) is a hydroxy-substituted alkyl phenyl ketone and also a plant defensin in carnations. 3-Hydroxyacetophenone has antifusarium activity. In addition, 3-Hydroxyacetophenone can be used to synthesize Rivastigmine[2][3].
