Synaptophysin Rabbit mAb IHC Kit
Product Specifications
Background
Synaptophysin is a 38kDa membrane glycoprotein present in neuroendocrine cells. It is the most abundant synaptic vessel membrane protein, but the function remains unclear. Synaptophysin is mainly expressed in neuroendocrine cells of the human adrenal medulla, carotid body, skin, pituitary, thyroid, lung, pancreas, and gastrointestinal mucosa. The antibodiy is mainly used in the classification of neuroendocrine tumors including neoplasms of epithelial type, nervous system neoplasms with neuronal differentiation and adrenocortical neoplasms.
