Cytokeratin 1 Mouse mAb IHC Kit
Product Specifications
Background
Cytokeratin 1 is a 68 kDa protein with the structure of alpha-helical coiled-coil dimers and it is highly expressed in keratinized squamous epithelium. CK1 forms a complete cellular support network system, provides mechanical strength support for cells, and participates in cell differentiation and intracellular information transmission. Diseases associated with CK1 include Ichthyosis, Epidermolytic Hyperkeratosis and Palmoplantar Keratoderma, Nonepidermolytic.

Gene Name
KRT1
Gene ID
3848
Swiss Prot
P04264
Reactivity
Human
Immunogen
A synthetic peptide corresponding to the amino acid region 200 - 300 of the human Cytokeratin 1 protein.
Applications
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Dilution
It has been optimized for direct use, requiring no further dilution.
Specificity
The antibody can specifically recognize human CK1 protein. In immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections, the antibody specifically labels only skin epidermal cells, whereas squamous or glandular epithelium cells are not labeled.
Formulation
The ready - to - use antibody is provided in liquid form in phosphate buffer saline containing stabilizing protein and 0. 05% Proclin 300.
Subcellular Location
Cytoplasmic, Membranous
