CD54 Mouse mAb IHC Kit
Product Specifications
Background
CD54, also known as ICAM-1, is a type I transmembrane protein. CD is expressed on activated endothelial cells, high endothelial venules, monocytes/macrophages, T and B cells, dendritic cells and granulocytes. It plays a role in cellular adhesion and is involved in inflammation and leukocyte extravasation. CD54 is also detected in some carcinoma and melanoma cells. In patients with various inflammatory syndromes, the level of soluble CD54 is upregulated in plasma.
