CA IX Mouse mAb IHC Kit
Product Specifications
Background
CA IX (Carbonic Anhydrase IX) is a transmembrane protein belonging to the carbonic anhydrase family. It catalyzes the conversion of carbon dioxide and water into bicarbonate and protons in the extracellular environment. CA IX is minimally expressed in normal tissues, primarily found in gastrointestinal epithelial cells, but is highly expressed in various malignant tumors, such as clear cell renal carcinoma, breast cancer, and pancreatic cancer. Its expression is significantly upregulated under hypoxic conditions. Therefore, CA IX has been widely studied as a tumor biomarker and a potential therapeutic target.
