Background
Gastrin is a polypeptide hormone, which exists in normal human gastric antrum (pylorus) mucosal cells (G cells), duodenal gland and Brenner's gland. It is mainly used for the diagnosis of gastrinoma and G cell hyperplasia and the detection of some neuroendocrine tumors.
