Background
Thyroglobulin is a glycoprotein synthesized by thyroid follicular cells. Its molecular weight is 330kDa. It is expressed in normal thyroid follicular epithelium and glia and has high tissue specificity. It is expressed in thyroid follicular adenoma, thyroid follicular carcinoma and papillary carcinoma. It is mainly used to study various types of primary and metastatic thyroid follicular epithelial carcinoma.
