Background
Myoglobin is a cytoplasmic protein in the cytoplasm of striated muscle. It is only expressed in skeletal muscle and myocardium and has high tissue specificity. It is mainly used for the study of rhabdomyosarcoma and its derived tumors, which is helpful to distinguish rhabdomyosarcoma from skeletal muscle differentiated tumors.
