Hsp20 is a mammalian heat shock protein that is abundant in skeletal muscle and heart. The Hsp20 family is characterized by the presence of a conserved C-terminal domain of approx. 100 residues and contains a beta-sandwich fold consisting of 8 strands in 2 beta-sheets in a “Greek key” conformation. Hsp20 proteins form dimers, through a disulfide linkage formed by an Nterminal cysteine.

Although stable at 10°C for 2 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Addition of a carrier protein (such as 0.1% HAS or BSA) is recommended for long-term storage. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
