Growth hormone (GH), also known as somatotropin, is a peptide hormone that regulates growth, cell proliferation, and tissue regeneration. It is synthesized and secreted by somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary gland and released in a pulsatile manner under the control of hypothalamic growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH) and somatostatin (SST) . GH influences both metabolic and immune processes, supporting thymic function, T and B cell development, cytokine regulation, and myeloid cell activity. It also promotes lipolysis, amino acid uptake, protein synthesis, and lactation, reflecting its central role in anabolic growth and repair mechanisms.

This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20° to -70°C. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2°C to 8°C for one week or at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
