Polyvinylimidazole (Vimdemer) is a weakly alkaline polyelectrolyte. Polyvinylimidazole can form an anticancer complex with Cadmium chloride. Polyvinylimidazole can be used as a model polyelectrolyte to study the adsorption properties of various minerals[1][2].
