MICROPLATE CARRIER, use with Tecan for PCR Plates. PCR Plates are locked down to allow Robotic removal of VP 248 Disposable Pin Replicators after piercing Plate Seals, Carrier is Constructed of Aluminum with Matching Dimensions and Countersunk Mounting Holes as in a Standard Tecan Plate Carrier. The carrier has 4 perimeter rails, for each side of the Microplate, one Short Side rail has a Deep Groove or undercut to hold Plate skirt lip, the two Long side rails have shallow Grooves allowing Plates to snap into place, the last Short Side rail is beveled and has no Groove but has two small (0.25") ball-nose spring plungers to hold Plate in place, this last Short Side rail also has a Center thumb/set screw which can be used to Manually Clamp Plate after loading.
