Savoxepin (mesylate)
Savoxepin mesylate is a D2 dopamine receptor (D2 Dopamine Receptor) antagonist with antipsychotic activity. Savoxepin mesylate selectively blocks dopamine D2 receptors in the hippocampus while having no significant effect on D2 receptors in the striatum. This selective blockade helps reduce the risk of extrapyramidal side effects (EPS) [1].
