Specificity

This antibody recognizes the gene product hk12 of human KLK12 (also known as KLK-L5), one of the many kallikrein serine proteases associated with carcinogenesis. KLK12 is expressed in salivary glands, stomach, uterus, trachea, prostate, thymus, lung, colon, brain, breast, and thyroid and is up-regulated by androgens, progestins, and estrogens.
