Guinea Pig Cardiac FABP, 7936

Fatty-acid-binding proteins (FABPs) transport fatty acids and other lipophilic substances between extra- and intracellular membranes. We purify cardiac FABP (H-FABP) from cardiac muscle extracts using molecular sieve and ion-exchange chromatography. H-FABP is expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle and can be used as a biomarker to assess muscle damage.
