Cow LRG1, 9040

The polypeptide chain of cow LRG1 (leucine rich alpha 2 glycoprotein-1) has a molecular weight of 34,522 Da. It is moderately glycosylated and migrates on reducing SDS PAGE gels as a major band of ~50 kDa. In humans, LRG1 is an acute phase protein. It is upregulated in the serum of patients suffering from various diseases including ovarian cancer, Kawasaki disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
