EGF Recombinant Protein (Human)

The human Epidermal Growth Factor recombinant protein consists of a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain with 53 amino acids. Epidermal growth factor (EGF) is a protein that stimulates cell growth and differentiation by binding to the EGFR receptor. It plays a crucial role in the renewal, expansion, and differentiation of neural stem cells into neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes. Known for its mitogenic and angiogenic properties, EGF supports the survival and differentiation of neural stem cells in both normal and injured brain tissue, promoting neural regeneration. Additionally, EGF is essential for maintaining the differentiation potential of neural stem cells in long-term cultures.
