Anti-Human CD11a (Efalizumab)

This non-therapeutic biosimilar antibody uses the same variable region sequence as the therapeutic antibody Efalizumab. Clone hu1124 recognizes human CD11a. This product is for research use only. CD11a and CD18 are the Integrin alpha-L and beta-2 subunits that combine to form LFA-1, a glycoprotein and a member of the Integrin family. The Integrin alpha-L/beta-2 complex is a receptor for ICAM1, ICAM2, ICAM3, ICAM4 and F11R. LFA-1 participates in the immunological synapses between CD8+ T lymphocytes and antigen-presenting cells. Efalizumab binds to the CD11a subunit of LFA-1 and acts as an immunosuppressant by inhibiting lymphocyte activation and cell migration out of blood vessels into tissues. Anti-Human CD11a (Efalizumab) utilizes the same variable regions from the therapeutic antibody Efalizumab making it ideal for research projects.
