Recombinant Human CLDN4 (145-157) Protein, mFc Tag
Molecular Characterization: CLDN4 (Gln145-Lys157) mFc (Pro99-Lys330) Molecular weight: The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 27.7 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of CLDN4 (145-157) -mFc is approximately 25-35 kDa due to glycosylation.Description: Recombinant human CLDN4 (145-157) Protein with C-terminal mouse Fc tagThe protein encoded by this intronless gene belongs to the claudin family. Claudins are integral membrane proteins that are components of the epithelial cell tight junctions, which regulate movement of solutes and ions through the paracellular space. This protein is a high-affinity receptor for Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin (CPE) and may play a role in internal organ development and function during pre- and postnatal life. This gene is deleted in Williams-Beuren syndrome, a neurodevelopmental disorder affecting multiple systems.
