Recombinant Human CXCL4 Protein, hFc Tag
Molecular Characterization: CXCL4 (Glu32-Ser101) hFc (Glu99-Ala330) Molecular weight: The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 33.9 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of CXCL4-hFc is approximately 35-55 kDa due to glycosylation.Description: Recombinant Human CXCL4 with C-terminal human Fc tagThis gene encodes a member of the CXC chemokine family. This chemokine is released from the alpha granules of activated platelets in the form of a homotetramer which has high affinity for heparin and is involved in platelet aggregation. This protein is chemotactic for numerous other cell type and also functions as an inhibitor of hematopoiesis, angiogenesis and T-cell function. The protein also exhibits antimicrobial activity against Plasmodium falciparum.
