Recombinant Human SCF Protein, hFc Tag
Molecular Characterization: SCF (Glu26-His214) hFc (Glu99-Ala330) Molecular weight: The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 47.2 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of SCF-hFc is approximately 55-75 kDa due to glycosylation.Description: Recombinant human SCF protein with C-terminal human Fc tagThis gene encodes the ligand of the tyrosine-kinase receptor encoded by the KIT locus. This ligand is a pleiotropic factor that acts in utero in germ cell and neural cell development, and hematopoiesis, all believed to reflect a role in cell migration. In adults, it functions pleiotropically, while mostly noted for its continued requirement in hematopoiesis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
