Source: Sf9, Insect cells.Sterile Filtered colorless solution.Tetraspanin 7, also known as TSPAN7, is part of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, which is also familiar as the tetraspanin family. Most of these proteins mediate signal transduction events which play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth as well as motility. Furthermore, TSPAN7 is associated with X-linked mental retardation in addition to neuropsychiatric diseases such as Huntington's chorea, fragile X syndrome and myotonic dystrophy. Lately, TSPAN7 has been acknowledged as a key immune system target in type 1 diabetes.TSPAN7 Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Insect cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 110 amino acids (113-213a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 12.6kDa. (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions 13.5-18kDa) . TSPAN7 is expressed with a 6amino acids His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
