FOLR1 binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and facilitates transfer of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the cells. FOLR1 is either attaches to membranes through a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage or exists in a soluble form. FOLR1 is also needed for embryonic development and normal cell proliferation.FOLR1 Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 218 amino acids (26-234a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 25.6kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 28-40kDa) .FOLR1 is expressed with a 6 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
