Recombinant Human Asialoglycoprotein Receptor Protein/ASGPR1 (C-His)
Source : Human 293 Cells; The asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR) is an endocytotic cell surface receptor that is a member of the long-form subfamily of the C-type/Ca2+ dependent lectin family. ASGPR is expressed by hepatocytes and a subset of T cells and can be induced by triantennary binding to galactose residues of macromolecules. It is a complex of two noncovalently-linked and highly homologous subunits, a major 42 kDa glycoprotein ASGPR1 (MHL-1) and a minor 51 kDa glycoprotein ASGR2 (MHL-2) . ASGPR is reported to bind Gal (nonreducing), GalNAc, and sialic acid alpha 2,6Gal and GalNAc. Studies found that ASGPR1 could be targeted for anti- hepatitis B virus (HBV) drug development.
