Recombinant Human Interleukin-7/IL-7 (C-His)
Source : Human 293 Cells; Interleukin 7 (IL-7) is a cytokine that belongs to hemopoietin family. IL-7 is secreted by stromal cells in the red marrow and thymus, and can also be produced by keratinocytes, dendritic cells, hepatocytes, neurons, and epithelial cells, except for lymphocytes. IL-7 stimulates the differentiation of multipotent hematopoietic stem cells into lymphoid progenitor cells. It also induces the proliferation of all cells in the lymphoid lineage (B cells, T cells and NK cells) . IL-7 and the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) together form a hybrid cytokine that functions as a pre-pro-B cell growth-stimulating factor. IL-7 signals via IL-7 receptor (IL7R) activating multiple pathways including JaK/STAT and PI3K/AKT, which regulate lymphocyte survival, glucose uptake, proliferation, and differentiation. IL-7 is also associated with cytoplasmic IL2-R gamma for signal transduction. IL-7 has recently been examined in clinical studies as an immunotherapy agent for various malignancies and during HIV infection. Besides, IL-7 could be beneficial in improving immune recovery after allogenic stem cell transplant.
