Recombinant Human Ornithine Decarboxylase/ODC1 (C-6His, N-T7 tag)
Source: E. coli. MW :53.5kD. Recombinant Human Ornithine decarboxylase is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Met1-Val461 is expressed with a T7 tag at the N-terminus, 6His tag at the C-terminus. Ornithine decarboxylase (ODC1) is an enzyme which belongs to the Orn/Lys/Arg decarboxylase class-II family. ODC1 is the rate-limiting enzyme of the polyamine biosynthesis pathway which catalyzes ornithine to putrescine. The activity level for the enzyme varies in response to growth-promoting stimuli and exhibits a high turnover rate in comparison to other mammalian proteins.
