NPPA is synthesized as a great precursor which releases a peptide from the N-terminus with similarity to vasoactive peptide, cardiodilatin, and another peptide from the C-terminus with natriuretic-diuretic activity. In female pregnancy, NPPA is promoting trophoblast invasion and spiral artery remodeling in uterus. NPPA Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain (a.a 26-123) containing 106 amino acids including an 8 a.a N-terminal His tag.
