IL6 Rat, sf9
Source: Sf9, Baculovirus cells.Sterile Filtered colorless solution.Interleukin-6 is a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine primarily produced by activated T cells and an assortment of other cells including endothelial cells and macrophages. IL-6 affects B and T lymphocytes and has been shown to have a role in host defense, acute phase reactions, immune responses and hematopoiesis.IL6 produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 196 amino acids (25-211 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 22.8kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 18-28 kDa) .IL6 is expressed with a 6 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
