EPO a Human, Sf9
Source: Sf9, Insect cells.Sterile filtered colorless solution. This gene is a member of the EPO/TPO family and encodes a secreted, glycosylated cytokine composed of four alpha helical bundles. The protein is found in the plasma and regulates red cell production by promoting erythroid differentiation and initiating hemoglobin synthesis. This protein also has neuroprotective activity against a variety of potential brain injuries and antiapoptotic functions in several tissue types.Erythropoietin-alpha Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Insect cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 174 amino acids (28-193a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 19.5kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 28-40kDa) .EPO-a is expressed with an 8 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
