CTF2P Mouse

Source: Escherichia Coli.Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.CTF2P, aka Neuropoietinis a part of the IL-6 family of cytokines. CTF2P is the outcome of a gene duplication event involving cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1) and it helps to define a subfamily within the IL-6 family that includes CT-1, CLC and CTNF. CTF2P Increases the platelet count associated with splenomegaly and takes part in neuronal precursor development and maturation.Neuropoietin Mouse Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 182 amino acids and having a molecular mass of approximately 19.7kDa.CTF2P is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Greater than 98.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

Components

Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered concentrated solution in 20mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 0.5mM DTT and 500mM NaCl. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Neuropoietin in sterile PBS not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Storage Conditions

Lyophilized CTF2P although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Neuropoietin should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Applications Notes

The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using human TF-1 cells is < 200 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 5000 IU/mg.
