Source : Escherichia Coli. WIBG Recombinant Human produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 212 amino acids (1-204 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 23.7 kDa. The WIBG is fused to 8 amino acid His-Tag at C-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. WIBG is a cooperateing partner of Mago-Y14. The Mago-Y14 heterodimer is a key protein of the EJC (exon junction complex) that is deposited on mRNAs as a consequence of splicing and influences postsplicing mRNA metabolism. WIBG is a cytoplasmic RNA-binding protein that is excluded from the nucleus by Crm1. WIBG relates directly with Mago-Y14 by means of its N-terminal domain.
