Source : Escherichia Coli. UBL3 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 134 amino acids (1-114a.a) and having a molecular mass of 15.0kDa.UBL3 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. UBL3 - a member of the ubiquitin-like family is found in the membrane. UBL3 holds two N-glycosylation sites, a C-terminal prenylation site and a protein kinase C phosphorylation site. Even though Ubiquitin-like proteins are not directly involved in protein degradation, it seems they have several mechanistic similarities to the ubiquitin pathway.
