Recombinant Human Toll Interacting Protein
Source : Escherichia Coli. TOLLIP produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 294 amino acids (1-274 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 32.4kDa.TOLLIP is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Toll interacting protein (TOLLIP) is an inhibitory adaptor protein within Toll-like receptors. The TLR pathway is a part of the innate immune system which recognizes structurally conserved molecular patterns of microbial pathogens, initiating an inflammatory immune response. Negative regulation of TLR signaling by TOLLIP might restrict the production of proinflammatory mediators during inflammation and infection. Furthermore, TOLLIP forms a complex with Tom1 to regulate endosomal transferring of ubiquitinated proteins.
