Recombinant Human Transcription Factor 4

TCF4 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 530 amino acids (1-507) and having a molecular mass of 56.6 kDa.TCF4 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Transcription Factor 4 (TCF4) acts as a transcription factor and takes part in the initiation of neuronal differentiation. TCF4 recognizes an Ephrussi-box ('E-box') binding site ('CANNTG') - a motif primary identified in immunoglobulin enhancers. TCF4 is mainly expressed in pre-B-cells, even though it is present in other tissues as well.

Components

The TCF4 solution (0.5mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 10% glycerol and 0.1M NaCl.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
