Recombinant Mouse S100 Calcium Binding Protein A9

S100A9 Mouse Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 133 amino acids (1-113) and having a molecular mass of 15.2 kDa.The S100A9 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. S100A9 is part of the S100 family of proteins containing 2 EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. S100A9 protein is localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a wide range of cells, and participates in the regulation of several cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. S100 genes include no less than 13 proteins which are localized as a cluster on chromosome 1q21. S100A9 is involved in the inhibition of casein kinase and altered expression of this protein is associated with the disease cystic fibrosis.

Components

S100A9 protein (0.5mg/mL) is supplied in 20mM Tris-HCL, pH-8, 1mM DTT and 20% Glycerol.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
