Recombinant Human S100 Calcium Binding Protein A4 His Tag

Source : Escherichia Coli. S100A4 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 121 amino acids (1-101) and having a molecular mass of 13.8 kDa.The S100A4 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. S100A4 is part of the S100 super-family of proteins containing 2 EF-hand calcium binding domains. S100A4 is ubiquitously overexpressed and is localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus. S100A4 is involved in motility, invasion, and tubulin polymerization. Chromosomal rearrangements and altered expression of the S100A4 gene have been implicated in tumor metastasis.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
