Recombinant Human Ribosomal Protein 4X

Source : Escherichia Coli. RPS4X Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 286 amino acids (1-263) and having a molecular mass of 32kDa. RPS4X is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Ribosomal Protein 4X (RPS4X) is ribosomal protein S4, a component of the 40S subunit which is a part from the S4E family of ribosomal proteins. Ribosomal protein S4 is the only ribosomal protein known to be encoded by more than one gene, that is RPS4X and ribosomal protein S4, Y-linked (RPS4Y) . Both isoforms encoded by these genes are not the same, but are functionally alike.

Components

The RPS4X solution (0.5mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl (pH8.0), 40% glycerol, 0.15M NaCl and 1mM DTT.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
