Recombinant Human RAP1A, Member RAS Oncogene Family
Source : Escherichia Coli. RAP1A Recombinant E.coli produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 201 amino acids (1-181 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 22.8 kDa. The RAP1A is fused to 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by conventional chromatography. RAP1A is part of the family of RAS-related proteins which possess 50% amino acid identity with the classical RAS proteins and have various structural characteristics in common. RAP proteins differ from RAS proteins in their 61st amino acid, glutamine in RAS is replaced by threonine in RAP proteins. RAP1A induces morphological reversion of a cell line transformed by a Ras oncogene and counteracts the mitogenic function of Ras, since it can interact with Ras GAPs and RAF in a competitive manner.
