Recombinant Human RAD51B

Source : Escherichia Coli. RAD51B Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is. a single polypeptide chain containing 373 amino acids (1-350) and having a molecular mass of 40.6kDa. RAD51B is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. RAD51 family members are evolutionarily conserved proteins vital for DNA repair by homologous recombination. RAD51B is a part of the RAD51 protein family. RAD51B is involved in the homologous recombination repair (HRR) pathway of double-stranded DNA breaks occurring during DNA replication or induced by DNA-damaging agents. RAD51B forms a stable heterodimer with the family member RAD51C, which interacts with the other family members, such as RAD51, XRCC2, and XRCC3. Overexpression of RAD51B leads to cell cycle G1 delay and cell apoptosis.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
