Recombinant Human PDZ And LIM Domain 1
Source : Escherichia Coli. PDLIM1 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 354 amino acids (1-329) and having a molecular mass of 38.7 kDa. PDLIM1 is fused to a 25 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus. PDLIM1, a cytoplasmic protein linked to the cytoskeleton, belongs to the enigma protein family. PDLIM1 holds two protein interacting domains - PDZ domain at the amino terminal end and one to three LIM domains at the carboxyl terminal. PDLIM1 enables bringing other LIM interacting proteins to the cytoskeleton. Pseudogenes related to PDLIM1 are situated on chromosomes 3, 14 and 17.
