Recombinant Human Polyadenylate-Binding Protein-Interacting Protein 2
Source : Escherichia Coli. Recombinant Human PAIP2 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 147 amino acids (1-127 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 17.1 kDa.PAIP2 human recombinant is fused to 20 amino acid His Tag at N-terminus and purified by convential chromatogrpahy techniques. PAIP2 has a role as a repressor in the regulation of translation initiation of poly (A) -containing mRNAs. PAIP2 inhibitory activity on translation is mediated through its action on PABPC1. PAIP2 displaces the interaction of PABPC1 with poly (A) RNA and competes with PAIP1 for binding to PABPC1. PAIP2 association with PABPC1 results in disruption of the cytoplasmic poly (A) RNP structure organization.
