Recombinant Human NAD (P) Dependent Steroid Dehydrogenase-Like
Source : Escherichia Coli. NSDHL Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 320 amino acids (1-297) and having a molecular mass of 35.5kDa. NSDHL is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. NAD (P) Dependent Steroid Dehydrogenase-Like (NSDHL) takes part in synthesis of cholesterol. NSDHL is involved in one of a few steps which convert lanosterol to cholesterol by removing a carbon atom and three hydrogen atoms (a methyl group) . NSDHL is also a vital element of cell membranes and myelin, the fatty covering that insulates nerve cells.
