HEXIM1 Recombinant Protein
Source : Escherichia Coli. HEXIM1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 396 amino acids (1-359a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 44.8 kDa. HEXIM1 is fused to a 37 amino acid His-Tag at N-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. HEXIM1 expression is induced by hexamethylene-bis-acetamide in vascular smooth muscle cells. HEXIM1 is a transcriptional regulator which acts as a universal RNA polymerase II transcription inhibitor. In cooperation with 7SK snRNA sequesters P-TEFb in a large inactive 7SK snRNP complex inhibits RNA polymerase II phosphorylation following transcriptional elongation. HEXIM1 regulates NF-kappa-B, ESR1, NR3C1 and CIITA-dependent transcriptional activity.
