GTF2F2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 269 amino acids (1-249 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 30.5kDa (Molecular weight on SDS-PAGE will appear higher) .GTF2F2 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. General Transcription Factor IIF Polypeptide 2 (GTF2F2) is a general transcription initiation factor which binds to RNA polymerase II and helps engage it in the initiation complex in collaboration with TFIIB. GTF2F2 promotes transcription elongation. GTF2F2 shows ATP-dependent DNA-helicase activity.

Components

GTF2F2 protein solution (0.5mg/mL) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 20% glycerol, 0.2M NaCl and 1mM DTT.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
