GTF2B Recombinant Protein

Source : Escherichia Coli. GTF2B Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 336 amino acids (1-316 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 36.9 kDa. The GTF2B is fused to a 20 amino acid His Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. GTF2B is one of the ubiquitous factors needed for transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II preinitiation factor. GTF2B localizes to the nucleus where it forms a complex (the DAB complex) with transcription factors IID and IIA. GTF2 plays a role as a bridge between IID, which initially recognizes the promoter sequence, and RNA polymerase II. GTF2B is involved in the selection of the transcription start site.

The GTF2B solution contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.1M NaCl and 20% glycerol.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
