ELP5 Recombinant Protein

ELP5 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 339 amino acids (1-316 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 37.2kDa.ELP5 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Elongator acetyltransferase complex subunit 5 (ELP5) is a member of the ELP5 family. ELP5 functions as subunit of the RNA polymerase II elongator complex, which is a histone acetyltransferase component of the RNA polymerase II (Pol II) holoenzyme and is participated in transcriptional elongation. Elongator plays a role in chromatin remodeling and is involved in acetylation of histones H3 and probably H4. ELP5 takes part in cell migration and is widely expressed in in heart, brain, liver, skeletal muscle and testis.

Components

ELP5 protein solution (0.25mg/mL) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15M NaCl, 20% glycerol and 1mM DTT.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
