DKK1 Recombinant Protein

Source : Escherichia Coli. DKK1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 258 amino acids (32-266 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 28.2kDa.DKK1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Dickkopf-related protein 1 (DKK1) antagonizes canonical Wnt signaling by inhibiting LRP5/6 interaction with Wnt and by creating a ternary complex with the transmembrane protein KREMEN which promotes internalization of LRP5/6. DKKs have a significant role in vertebrate development, where they locally inhibit Wnt controlled processes for instance antero-posterior axial patterning, limb development, somitogenesis and eye formation. Furthermore, Dkks are involved in bone formation and bone disease, cancer and Alzheimer disease in Adults.

Components

DKK1 protein solution (1mg/mL) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M urea and 10% glycerol.

Storage Conditions

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
