CBX1 Recombinant Protein
Source : Escherichia Coli. CBX1 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 205 amino acids (1-185) and having a molecular mass of 23.6kDa (molecular weight on SDS-PAGE will appear higher) .The CBX1 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. CBX1 is an enriched heterochromatin which belongs to the heterochromatin protein family. The centromeres related CBX1 identifies and binds histone H3 tails methylated at 'Lys-9', causing epigenetic repression. Collaboration with lamin B receptor (LBR) can impact the relations between the heterochromatin and the inner nuclear membrane. CBX1 has a vital part in the epigenetic control of chromatin structure and gene expression.
