BRMS1 Recombinant Protein

Source : Escherichia Coli. BRMS1 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 261 amino acids (1-246) and having a molecular mass of 29.9 kDa. BRMS1 is fused to a 15 amino acid T7-tag at N-terminus. BRMS1 protein, a member of the mSin3a family of HDAC (histone deacetylase complexes), is mainly restricted to the nucleus. BRMS1 holds two coiled-coil motifs and a few imperfect leucine zipper motifs. BRMS1 reduces the metastatic potential, but not the tumorogenicity, of melanoma cell lines and human breast cancer. Alternative splicing creates two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
